We invite you to our Berlin Premiere of our Eating Show!

Three vocalists cook up a culinary experience from the internet healing phenomena Eating Show (Muk-bang) and ASMR, spiced with a global social problem: racially motivated violence against Asians, from the 20th century to current Asian Hate by COVID-19. With a fusion sound cuisine of internet cult, experimental vocal music and Asian world music, the piece shows unheard perspectives of three Berlin Asians and invites the audience to question their own role in the post-migrant society.

Drei Vokalist:innen kochen ein kulinarisches Erlebnis aus den Internet-Heil-Phänomenen Eating Show (Muk-bang) und ASMR, scharf gewürzt mit einem globalen sozialen Problem: rassistisch motivierte Gewalt gegen Asiat:innen, vom 20. Jahrhundert bis zum aktuellen Asian Hate durch COVID-19. Mit einer Fusionsklangküche aus Internetkult, experimentaler Vokalmusik und asiatischer Weltmusik zeigt das Stück ungehörte Perspektiven von Asiat:innen und lädt das Publikum dazu ein, die eigene Rolle in der postmigrantischen Gesellschaft zu hinterfragen.
